Neudive (CEO Cho Sungja) participated in CES Unveiled on January 5 (local time), before the official opening of CES 2025, to introduce its flagship product, Buddy-In, to global audiences and media. This innovative digital therapy platform recently earned a CES Innovation Award, marking a significant milestone for the company.
Neudive, founded in February 2022, specializes in developing digital solutions for individuals with social communication disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and ADHD. Its portfolio includes Buddy-In, a therapy for improving social skills in autism patients; BuddyStep, designed for ADHD children’s executive functioning training; and BuddyPlan, a social skills assessment tool. These products demonstrate the company’s commitment to enhancing the lives of neurodivergent individuals through technology.
Buddy-In is a digital therapeutic platform designed to help individuals with autism spectrum disorder, particularly children and adolescents, practice social skills at home. The software uses familiar scenarios from school life to help users understand the meaning behind peer interactions and behaviors and guide them toward appropriate responses in various social situations. Neudive describes the platform as a groundbreaking digital therapy for enhancing social cognition and behavioral decision-making.
The safety and efficacy of Buddy-In were statistically validated through exploratory clinical trials conducted in collaboration with three university hospitals in South Korea in 2023. The findings were presented at prominent conferences, including the Korean Neuropsychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Neudive has also completed software validation and cybersecurity performance evaluations for Buddy-In through external organizations like KTL. It has obtained GMP certification for its software medical device manufacturing facilities from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).
A Neudive representative stated, “We plan to apply for MFDS approval for Buddy-In within 2025 and anticipate securing it the following year. With no digital therapeutic for autism spectrum disorder currently approved by global regulatory authorities, we see CES as a pivotal opportunity to showcase the potential and promise of our product.”
The representative added, “Beyond Buddy-In, we are simultaneously developing and validating other digital therapeutics and solutions to solidify our global presence in this field. Through these innovations, Neudive aims to deliver accessible treatment options to individuals who lack medical resources or face economic barriers to healthcare services.”
Neudive’s participation at CES 2025 underscores its mission to use digital therapeutics to revolutionize access to care and improve the quality of life for underserved communities worldwide.
Neudive participated in CES 2025 as part of the Seoul Pavilion in Eureka Park, the startup-focused exhibition area. The Seoul Pavilion, expanded by over 50% from the previous year to 1,040 square meters, featured 104 startups. It represents a collaboration between three Seoul districts (Gangnam, Geumcheon, and Gwanak), five startup support organizations (SBA, Seoul Tourism Organization, Seoul Bio Hub, Seoul AI Hub, and Campus Town Growth Center), and eight universities (Konkuk, Kyung Hee, Kookmin, Dongguk, Sogang, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Yonsei, and Chung-Ang).
AVING News, which has covered CES for 20 consecutive years, continues to support the global ambitions of Korean SMEs and startups through various initiatives.
