"He's an Alligator man! Ain't noone understand him, but the swamp can!" I made that up, but actually this b-movie gem is surprisingly good! Great performances from Beverly Garland and Lon Chaney Jr... and everyone really (except George Macready, who I think was actually drunk), makes an audience invested in a ridiculous plot, but so well presented ones disbelief is firmly suspended... until the end unfortunately.
Worthy of note is that our main character is a lady, and a brave protagonist, so well done 1960's for that one... except the attempted rape scene... gah...
