Pilots operate the aircraft, but it's the Combat Systems Officer (CSO) who gets to actually do the cool stuff. After completing Undergraduate CSO Training (UCT), they become a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO), Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), or Navigator.
