Bitter Orange Chutney | Narthanga Chutney | South Indian Style Narthanga Chutney for Dosa and Idli

Ingredients:
Narthanga Chopped: 1 Tbsp
Oil: 1 Tsp
Urad Dhal: 1 Tsp
Channa Dhal: 1 Tsp
Dried Red Chillies: 4 Nos
Curry Leaves: Few
Onion: 1 Nos
Coriander Leaves: Few
Salt: 1/4 Tsp
Mustard Seeds: Few
Curry Leaves: Few
Method:
1. Today lets check out how to make Nathanga chutney or Bitter Orange Chutney. This is a very spicy and delicious side dish that best goes with idlis and dosas. Very quick and an instant recipe, so lets quickly check out the ingredients and get started.
2. Heat a pan and to this add 1 tsp of oil. When the oil is nice and hot, add 1 tsp of channa dhal, 1 tsp of Urad Dhal, 4 dried red chilles, few curry leaves and 1 onion chopped. Saute well for few seconds. Then to this add 1 tbsp of chopped narthanga or bitter orange. Saute well for 2 mins in medium flame until the narthanga is well done. Finally Add few chopped coriander leaves and mix it well. Then off the flame and allow it to cool completely.
3. Its been 5 mins and the ingredients are cool. Transfer to a mixer jar. To this add 1/4 tsp of salt and 2 tbsp of water. Grind this to a very fine paste.
4. Transfer the ground paste to a bowl. Season the narthanga chutney with some mustard seeds and curry leaves. Now our delicious narthanga chutney is ready. Serve it nice and hot with some idlis or dosas and enjoy with your family and friends.
