This is a bit of a crap run, as I recorded this while super tired and after coming off of a hours-long Binding of Isaac marathon session. Nothing that interesting going on here, so feel free to skip this one if you wish.

Spelunky Lesson of the Day: Don't record a hard game when you really should be going to sleep. You'll just end up with mediocre results and a wasted day. (Want a real lesson? Okay: If you're ever unsure of what you're going to land on, spend the few seconds to look down. It might just be the difference between life or death.)

0:00 - Yes, I did purposefully start the game on another screen to highlight the trinkets. If you didn't know, Spelunky actually also randomizes the hanging decorations you see on the menu selection spears. The most common ones are kind of generic, but it's cool to see thematically relevant ones like the Ankh from time to time.

3:59 - It's probably not obvious, but I tried to do the trick where you whip away a launched arrow. The timing is tight, and I think I started too late for it to be useful there.

6:13 - Wow, near crushing death that I totally didn't see coming. Don't you just love roguelikes? Just another reminder to really value spatial awareness in games that can fail you in an instant.

10:04 - To think, this could've all been avoided if I was more careful with my Mattock. (I put myself into the dangerous situation to begin with since I wanted to recover it, but my haste was my demise.) Fun fact: This is one of the extremely rare times that a snail enemy actually contributed to my death. They're usually too slow to be of much harm, but I guess this recording shows what I know about that.
