I collect the top 10 myths about Tesla and other EVs, and present some facts that either back up these myths or refute them. Some myths are pretty obviously wrong while others have some truth to them. EVs like Tesla, Volkswagen or VW, Polestar, BYD, XPing, GM, Ford, Hyundai, and many others are impacted by these myths.

Myths are as follows:
1. They’ll kill the electric grid
2. You can’t go on a road trip with an EV
3. They can’t sit parked for a long time due to battery leakage
4. They will catch fire
5. They’re too expensive to buy
6. They’re worse for the environment
1. Bad electricity from fossil fuels and more carbon output to build
7. The batteries will ‘die’ after only a few thousand miles
1. And it costs a fortune to replace them
8. Charging takes a REALLY long time
9. You can only charge at superchargers
10. EVs won’t work in the rain (or snow, etc.)
