Forgive the mic quality, not really sure why it peaks at points.

This one has a few things to pay attention to, but otherwise is a good introduction to the raid. The knockback combined with the conal AoE telegraph is a neat mechanic. Making you think less about the boss and more about where everything will be going off and where the same area is.
The hammers adjusting the area is a nice change of pace. When a hammer cleaves an entire section but can be changed can make you stop and think where the safe area will be. In my second run only a few of us were in a safe area while everyone else got hit. Thankfully these were not instakill mechanics. Lastly when he summons clones and empowers some with faster pathing AoEs I got understood it pretty quickly. I realized it is best to be on the second to last square in the slower path to give more time to dodge into the faster lane once that has passed. You can see in here where being in the middle can be a bit tricky.

His frontal cleave took me by surprise as he didn't appear to move his body when the cast bar started, but his hitbox point shifted. Plenty of time to adjust. When he sent two orbs to trace the map, I knew instantly this would be like The Warrior of Light. Simply watching where the lines come from to which way they will rotate lets you know which intercardinal is being hit. He sends out these very large donut AoEs that need to be dodged into a few consecutive times, that was a fun little dance.

AND HERE COMES THE GIANT FIST! Continuing the fun encounters is probably my favorite of the Twelve. A lot of his mechanics are visual instead of cast bar themed, so pay attention. There are a lot of different variations to his attacks. I love having to look at both what he is casting and if he is channeling a portal. My only complaint is his long cast times. The tank can't move him once he starts, safely greeding melee damage is definitely possible though.

Pretty straight forward trash. With overlapping AoEs just pay attention to which one is casting the Donut AoE and if they have one or two dots above them, this give the order to which AoE will go off first. Then they will both do a frontal half room cleave. Again, stay on the side behind one dot, then dodge into the attack to avoid the other.

Now this is a raid boss. Stunning visuals, reintroducing mechanics from fights of old, and an interesting knockback mechanic I hope makes its way into a savage fight in the future. I love how they reuse the orb kick from Eden's Verse: Furor. While not as difficult here, checking to see if an orb is being kicked your way is a fun addition to everything else. While my first run with the rivers of lava made me think of Asphodelos: The Third Circle, I was shocked they actually were going with a reintroduction from Castrum Lacus Litore. The clones will push the lava in the direction they are facing, that was a neat mechanic to work with. The line AoE into the attacks rotating around her was something that stumped me at first. There is enough time to dodge this N/S or E/W if you pay attention to when they stop. When the big orb in in the middle she will start to cast rays of light that will grow and explode after a few seconds. This one can be tricky, but I just observe one and stay out of its growing range until it explodes, then dodge into it. Finally my favorite visual mechanic. This is one you normally have to do Savage to see. A triangle forms in the middle and three consecutive knockbacks will be visible, one on each side. I make a mental note of which way it rotates, then rotate my camera to face away from where I will end up to keep my sense of direction.

The longest raid boss in this duty. His lantern/arena color changing from dark to light helps a lot during his Donut/Pointblank attack. I did not notice his upper torso will flip when he starts casting a half room cleave. Easy enough to dodge if you see where the lasers are pointing. The orbs falling from the sky tripped me up the first time. Still looking for the Melee uptime there, but I feel this is not caster friendly, especially when you need to run around the arena to avoid the spiral fall. Add phase, kill and watch out for telegraphed line AoEs. Now the big one. While I have not been in a party to fail the balancing mechanic, I feel this is too easy for people to meme and wipe intentionally to. I am not sure if the scale needs to be balanced to succeed, but my Scholar run had people changing sides pretty close to the cutoff timer. From there the fight repeats mechanics.

My second run went really smooth. This isn't as difficult as The Copied Factory (the first Shadowbringer Alliance Raid) which I welcome. I love the story behind this Alliance Raid series. Looking forward to patch 6.3 for more!
