Between the foreshadowing, the character development, the writing and the TITLE (Steins; Gate), I could not indirectly choose the one I loved most about this anime. From the very FIRST episode we were introduced to one of the main villain in the series as it later turns out to be Kurisu's own father (Dr. Nakabachi) who stole his daughters time travel research to set up the ladder of events causing WW3. Though I'm confused if he was the one to kill Kurisu in the very first episode, as it was later revealed that future Okarin was the one who accidentally took her life, the timeline of events leading up to the Steins; Gate is what makes this series so special.

The creator (Chiyomaru Shikura Naotaka), created what's called a "UFB" (Un Freaking Believable) series, as every episode from the very beginning was planned to eventually lead up to the final two episodes. Even the METAL UPA played significance, merely being a write off in the beginning for viewers to casually gloss over, but was the initial reason that Kurisu's father succeeded in delivering the research to Russia.

I could go on and on about this masterpiece, but I urge you, if you have NOT seen this series yet, then stop what you are doing and start watching episode 1. It will be confusing and you will have many questions throughout the entirety of the series, but once you finish you will know the true meaning behind Steins; Gate.
