VERSE:
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:... (PSALM 138:8 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
Blessed be the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:..." (Psalm 138:8 KJV).

Faith in God is our strength. Faith helps us to remain steadfast in the rough sea. In the various struggles and trials that took place during King David's life, he held fast to Jehovah, saying: "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:..." (Psalm 138:8, KJV).

King David puts all his burdens and anxieties on the Lord and says with great peace, "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me." What a wonderful statement of faith this is! When the Lord puts your burdens on you, He will surely support you. "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).

In its original text, the word "finished" is used in the sense of one who completes the work that the Lord began. See, many of the jobs that people start, they are not able to complete. Sometimes they change their plans. But our God does not stop halfway. He is not a human being. "I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee" (Job 42:2 KJV).

Moreover, in eternity, He has gone to heaven to prepare a dwelling place for us. If the world created in six days is so beautiful, how much more so are the dwelling places that Jesus has been providing for us for two thousand years! Beloved, in eternity, He will complete all things for you. "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6 KJV).

The old man Abraham’s only assurance was: "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me" (Psalm 138:8 KJV). He was aged 99. The body was dead. His wife, Sarah, was 89 years old, and the manner of women had ceased. There was no way for them to have children according to medical or natural laws. But Abraham was called the father of a multitude of nations. How would this be accomplished? 'The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me' (Psalm 138:8 KJV).

It is a small thing for the one who created Adam and Eve without a mother and a father. "Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform" (Romans 4:18, 21 KJV). God has done everything for me. And He begat Isaac, and through Isaac a multitude of seed.

How pained Abraham's heart must have been when he took Isaac, whom he was to sacrifice on Mount Moriah. There's fire, there's wood. Where's the lamb? And what was Abraham's response? "God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering" (Genesis 22:8 KJV). In other words, 'The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me' (Psalm 138:8 KJV).

So when Abraham went up to Moriah, not only did the Lord protect his son, but he also saw a sacrificial lamb standing there. It was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-Jireh, because he worshipped the Lord who had provided all things for him. "In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen" (Genesis 22:14 KJV). Yes, the Lord will take care. Dear friends, what's your problem today? What's the struggle? Will you look at the Lord with love and say with faith, "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me"?

Beloved ones, open your mouth and declare your faith. Look lovingly at the Lord and confess, "I commit my cause to the LORD who perfects all things for me." Surely the Lord will judge for you. He will fight for you. He will do everything for you.
