Florida Stole My Parents

Florida Stole My Parents by Refined Fool Brewing Company was given to me by ‪@BeerforBreakfastFactsforSnacks‬ when TK and I visited him in July. We had a great time and he was kind enough to give us a bunch of beers. I had never heard of an OJIPA so I was excited to try this one. The beer was a chalky orange color as if you dusted an orange with chalk dust or a light frost. It had a nice white frothy head. The beer smelled citrusy and orange but I did expect a bolder orange scent. It had a nice medium body and from the first sip I knew it was orange juice inspired. It was juicy and citrusy but again it was not as bold of orange juice like I had expected. There was no indication of bittering hops in the beer. The beer left a nice flavor in the mouth reminiscent to eating a fresh orange. I think the beer should have been called an OJ Pale Ale. However, it was still a great and I would drink another.
