Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is currently seen as a possible evolutionary technology to reduce the overall impact that aviation has on CO2 production and global warming. This lecture discusses what sustainable aviation fuel is, its differentiators relative to biofuel, and its potential to contribute to achieve Net-Zero.

Sara Kreil has been working for Rolls Royce since September 2006. She started working in the Energy Business in Montreal, Canada specialising in engine development. She is a Mechanical Engineer specialised in Turbomachinery and Propulsion. She is currently the Chief Development Engineer for the Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 and Business Aviation Fleet Products. Sara has been involved with all technical activities and engine / flight testing on 100% SAF in Business Aviation.
