Welcome to Design United’s 1st Design Conference ‘Small Measures, Great Impact ‘

Session 4 Khondaker Hasibul Kabir introduces himself as a community architect. He prefers to work with disadvantaged human communities and spontaneously grown plant communities. Kabir is the co-founder of Co.Creation.Architects and POCAA (Platform of Community Action and Architecture) that are involved in community-led housing and people-led city planning processes in Bangladesh. He is a core team member of Community Architects Network (CAN) that works in 19 Asian countries. He also teaches landscape and architecture at BRAC University. Kabir has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and a Master’s in Architecture in Landscape Design from the University of Sheffield, UK. He followed a postgraduate course in ‘Organized Self-help Housing, Planning and Management’ organized by Lund University, Sweden and FUPROVI, Costa Rica. His research and practice focus on ecological landscape and people-led planning and design
