In spring I got this short piece of footage of Western Yellow Wagtail call while taking a morning walk from home.

I came across this newly-arrived Western Yellow Wagtail, Motacilla flava, a few pairs of which breed in arable fields in the area and I was lucky that it landed close to me so that I was able to video its call and subsong. Western and Eastern Yellow Wagtails have been split by most taxonomic authorities with the call of Western Yellow Wagtail lacking the rasping nature of Eastern Yellow Wagtails, one of the surest ways to identify them.
