SusQI Showcase 2024 - Benefit & Challenges of Embedding SusQI into QSIR

Emma is head of Service Improvement at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, and interested in how environmental sustainability can identify opportunities to improve clinical, social, financial, and environmental outcomes that benefit all. She completed the SusQI training in 2023 and has presented with CSH at the IHI conference in 2024.

Faye is a Service Improvement manager with a background in Human Resource Management and Organisational Development. Faye has a keen interest in improving services for staff, patients and communities using the principles of sustainable healthcare.

Talk Synopsis:
• Having been delivering QSIR (Quality, Service, Improvement & Redesign) since 2019, the Service Improvement team at South Warwickshire Foundation University Trust pioneered embedding sustainable healthcare and SusQI into QSIR training through the CSH Academy programme.
• The embedding process was iterative process with adjustments in response to feedback from QSIR trainees.
• Example feedback “This feels like a subtle but effective way of demonstrating how sustainable practice and improvement work together”
