If you're looking for an inexpensive way to transform the look of your living space, painting an outdated (bronze) fireplace is a GREAT option. I only used a couple cans of Rustoleum "High Heat Ultra" semi-sheen paint and was able to transform the look of our fireplace in only 24 hours. The bulk of the time will be spent disassembling and reassembling the frame, if you are good at taping everything off, you might be able to do it even quicker!
