Live crib opens again at Dublin's Mansion House

Children and choirs gathered at the Mansion House in Dublin for the opening of this year's Live Crib in association with the Irish Farmers Association.

The donkey, the goat and their two sheep colleagues were settling in for the first day of their two-week stint in the live crib, renewing a tradition that was interrupted last year when the then Lord Mayor chose an alternative celebration.

Current Lord Mayor Daithí de Róiste said he was delighted to reinstate the live crib again at the Mansion House.
