Sledding at Granlibakken Tahoe in Tahoe City, CA

Fun family sledding at Granlibakken Tahoe in Tahoe City, CA (west Lake Tahoe). Awesome and affordable place for all-day sledding. You do have to walk uphill with your sled but that was not a problem for us.

Great employees at the bottom of the hill to prevent collisions were so friendly and helpful. They did a great job at keeping everyone safe!
Tips:
-Limited parking near the entrance. There is more parking on the side of the road but you will have to walk quite a distance. Best to get there early (before 9 am) and leave before the crowd (3 pm).
-Food available at reasonable prices.
Night time sledding on New Year’s Eve with lights and MUSIC
-Bathrooms on site.
-People tend to queue up on the far left and right of the hill for sledding. Walk around them to get to the two middle sections that are faster.
-Saucers are included in price (at least for sledding)
-Kids under 4 are free
-Small sectioned-off area for the little ones (under 4) or beginners.
-$38 per person ($40 per person during New Year’s 2025)
-Park closes at 6pm (at least in December 2024)
