The brand new, widely anticipated Lexus compact crossover concept vehicle - the UX Concept – made its world debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The concept showcases Lexus’ vision for a compact SUV of the future, including several innovative new features.

The concept was designed by ED2, Lexus' European design centre as a team of dedicated designers and engineers removed the limits on their imaginations and created this remarkable design.

The UX Concept is a creative and powerful reinterpretation of signature Lexus designs, reflecting our determination to give each one of our models a unique character, reinforced by the strong concept behind it.

The UX showcases the ‘inside out’ design concept with deconstructed interior styling. This creates a strong synergy between the vehicle's exterior and interior design.

A particularly impressive feature of the UX is its Kinetic Seat Concept, the first design interpretation of Lexus’ breakthrough concept. Its radical fibre net construction has re-evaluated the principles of car seat occupancy.

The spine of the human body supports the head, enabling the pelvis and chest to rotate in opposite directions and stabilise our movement. Lexus have worked to produce a car seat that recreates this movement, offering comfort like never before. This is not only a first for Lexus, but a first for the world as the concept was unveiled for the first time ever at the Paris Motor show.
