The Ultimate Reactive Load Test 2023 - [Comparing to real 4x12 cabs with several amps]

Описание к видео The Ultimate Reactive Load Test 2023 - [Comparing to real 4x12 cabs with several amps]

Update/spinoff to a previous video I've done.

Amps and cabs included:

Rectifier+Mesa OS cab (V30's)
BE100+EVH cab (Greenbacks)
Uberschall+Mesa Trad cab (V30's)
5150+1960TV cab (Greenbacks)

For each setup, I am recording just the amp DI with each cab attached. I am then using an IR on the amp DI.

The following load boxes were used:

Driftwood
Suhr
React IR
Fryette

I am using the exactly the same IR on the amp for each load. Same amp settings. With the Fryette I set it to 16 ohm when using 16 ohm cabs, and 8 ohm when using 8 ohm cabs. It changes the impedance curve a little.

I should also mention that the Fryette has various switches that can be combined to change the load, and further poweramp controls (when using it as an "attenuator") which would allow it to sound close to a lot of impedance curves. IMO there is a small trade off when using just the reactive load part on its own.

If you like what I do and want to support me, I make lR's, NAM/ToneX/Kemper profiles, Helix/Fractal presets etc. They are awesome (IMO) so go buy them here: https://mirrorprofiles.myshopify.com/
