But the copyright office did leave the door slightly ajar, giving creators a few things they may want to focus on moving forward with their copyright efforts.

It said:

Copyright protection only extends to human-created content, and the term "author" excludes non-humans. A work lacking human authorship, like those generated solely by AI, will not be registered.

If your work is a delightful combo of human genius and AI creativity, don't forget to give credit where it's due (hint: not the AI). Remember, folks, no AI on the author list!
