BACKSTAGE PASS WITH LIA CHANG: A night out with BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB's Martín Solá at Ben Cameron's Broadway Sessions at The Green Room 42 hosted by Anthony Fett, then off to the first night of Broadway Bowling at Frame Bowling Lounge. Martín Solá is a versatile actor, singer, and teacher based in New York City. His Broadway credits include How to Dance in Ohio, On Your Feet, The King and I, Coram Boy, and Baz Luhrmann’s La Bohème. He has also established a strong connection at The Public Theater appearing in Suzan-Lori Parks’ Plays for the Plague Year, Miss You Like Hell, Giant, Pirates of Penzance, and he was a member of the prestigious Shakespeare Lab.
In addition to his Broadway and Off-Broadway work, Martín has been featured with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall and has performed in numerous productions with New York City Opera and City Center Encores.
Martín’s TV credits include appearing as Father Russo in the NETFLIX series Archive 81, and guest-starring on FBI (CBS) and Law and Order SVU (NBC). During the pandemic, he wrote, directed, and starred in his first short film, May I Take It Your Plate, which earned Best Short Film and Best Actor awards at both The International Puerto Rican Heritage and the New York City Downtown Film Festivals
With over 30 years of experience, Martín has taught singing and coached actors for auditions, with many of his students performing on Broadway and in theaters across the country.
