Join Summit or Nothing’s hiking double act, Trev and Nath, for an epic and extremely windy 10-mile Dartmoor hike through some of the moor’s most stunning landscapes — including the Hamel Down ridge and the incredible Bronze Age settlement of Grimspound.

Starting at Bennett’s Cross, we trek via Birch Tor, Hookney Tor, and King Tor, before exploring Grimspound’s 24 preserved roundhouses. Then it’s a long stomp over Hamel Down to Hameldown Tor, braving gale-force winds that wreak havoc on the microphones (apologies for the sound quality — subtitles are included where needed).

This route was recommended by our friend and Dartmoor Tor bagger Max, and it’s a fantastic blend of Dartmoor history, rugged landscapes, and challenging terrain. Along the way, we also pass the Golden Dagger Tin Mine, spot some unexpected “ghost footage,” and discuss everything from photography to post-lockdown life.
