Triang Hornby kit bashed gantry signals. How I made them. MegaPoints controllers.

With apologies for the jabbering!
A few people have asked how I built them.
The background is I wanted signals that operated and were lit as I think it looks fantastic. Unfortunately I have fairly fat fingers and am not the most dexterous of modellers.

Having looked at the basic dapol single post signal I decided that easily made model railway signalling in this area is woefully inadequate unless you like colour lights.

This led me to think how I could make reasonable working signal gantries without damaging tiny fiddly expensive components so I came up with using the hornby range of signals. I purchase some steel wire, some brass tube and strip and a load of spares / repairs / collections of signals on eBay and it went from there.

These are controlled by the fantastic MegaPoints controllers system


Lights are kytes lights nano leds in warm white.
