Gorran Haven, nr Mevagissey to Dodman Point - "Two dogs wide!" A summer walk in Cornwall.

Описание к видео Gorran Haven, nr Mevagissey to Dodman Point - "Two dogs wide!" A summer walk in Cornwall.

In this video we visit Gorran Haven and try a 4 mile circular walk which takes us to Dodman Point one of Cornwall's most spectacular headlands with stunning views across Veryan Bay.

We start with a wander through the narrow streets of Gorran Haven, visiting the church and find out how Rattle street got it's name. We also take time to enjoy the wonderful beach in the village, a perfect sketching spot!

This walk takes us from the village heading along the South West Coast path towards Dodman Point, on the way we visit one of the most beautiful beaches on this stretch of the coast at Vault beach.

Dodman point was once an Iron Age fort and part of this walk takes you along the 'Bulwark' , a deep 'V' shaped ditch which once offered protection from attack to the inhabitants.

We return to the village via fields and lanes and finish up by telling the story of the unfortunate Mrs Kerkin and her troublesome fleas!

The standard description bit…
We are Sarah and Andrew and we film our walks around Cornwall and publish on YouTube, usually weekly. Sometimes we stay in accommodation in Cornwall and upload our vlog.
