At the end of 2024, GLEC Central Asia University Ministry successfully hosted a Christian alumni and current student gathering at IUCA. This event promoted the further integration of IUCA’s foundation on Christian ethics and values. Here’s a report from IUCA:

On November 23, 2024, the second annual IUCA Christian Alumni and Students Meeting was successfully held. Building on the foundation of the inaugural Alumni meeting in June 2023, this year’s event marked growth in both planning and attendance. The gathering saw more local participation, with five alumni playing key roles in organizing and leading the event.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the ties between IUCA alumni and current students, share spiritual life experiences, support one another, pray and celebrate gratitude together, and lay the groundwork for future mentoring and ministry opportunities. It infused fresh vitality into the growth of the Christian community on campus.

The event began with worship and a brief sharing session led by IUCA alumni who encouraged participants to reflect on their personal spiritual journeys. Speeches were then delivered by distinguished guests, including a regional representative of the Lausanne Congress and Jerry Yee, Director of GLEC Central Asia university Ministry. They urged alumni and students to deepen their relationship with God and to incorporate Christian values into their professional fields and daily lives to influence and assist others.

Amid a lively and uplifting atmosphere, the event ended with prayer in groups and a shared meal. Participants then walked to IUCA’s newly constructed educational building, where they offered blessings and prayers for God’s presence and work in that facility.

Both planners and participants expressed enthusiasm and excitement about the gathering. Alumni not only strengthened their connections with current students by returning to their alma mater but also witnessed the growth and continuity of IUCA’s Christian community.
