Finally Spotted WOODWARD GOVERNOR fitted ALCo WDG3A with UNEVEN IDLING SOUND | Cheer up ALCo Fans !!

Ever wondered how the ALCo locomotives like WDM2, WDG3A (then WDG2) used to sound during idling in the 1990s?

The older ALCo locomotives mostly had the Woodward Governor, resulting in an 'uneven' idling. Later those were replaced by Micro-controller based Governor (MCBG). A locomotive with MCBG Governor would idle in a smooth manner. The old ALCo locos had a trademark of idling sound, the pattern was somewhat: chug-chug-chug-chug-chug-............ (off cycle)..................-chug-chug-chug-chug-chug-............ (off cycle)..................-chug-chug-chug-chug-chug

As of now spotting an ALCo with Woodward Governor is almost impossible, I found myself lucky in spotting this one at Kamakhya Jn, Guwahati.
