Welcome to my channel. Cook with me as we prepare this delicious meat-and-split-pea Persian stew, which goes perfectly with rice. This stew has a tonne of flavor, and you will love it. If you are not a fan of meat, you can easily switch to chicken. Let's get into this recipe.

1 Larg onion
500-gram Beef chunk
1 Cup yellow split peas
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 tablespoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 table spoons of tomato paste
4 cups of Hot water

Slice the big onion into tiny bits. Put your pot in the oven, add the olive oil, and cook the onion for a few minutes, until it's slightly golden. Add the chunk of meat and spices at this point: salt, turmeric, black pepper, paprika, and cinnamon, which will give it an amazing smell.

At this point, simply add the washed yellow split peas to the pot.

Pour in four cups of hot water into the pod; don't worry, the water will dissolve gradually and produce a delicious stew. Let the stew cook on low heat.

Add a small amount of olive oil and two spoons of tomato paste to a small pan. Cook it thoroughly until the tomato paste smell disappears. after adding a small amount of water to make a delicious sauce. We are adding this to our stew, so you don't need to add a lot of water. You can add your dried Persian lemon to this sauce or right into the stew.

Give it four to five hours to cook on low heat. If you increase the heat too much, the water will evaporate and the stew won't be cooked, which is what we want—meat and all—to cook thoroughly, and you will get the thicker texture as you see in the video.

we serve this stew with basmati rice.
