The Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) is the newest version of NCLEX that is being launched in April 2023. This new NCLEX exam will include big changes such as new question item types, introduction of case studies (simulated nursing scenarios), and scoring methods that you'll want to know as nurses preparing for NCLEX exam.

The NCLEX exam is the licensing exam that nurse graduates must pass to practice nursing in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

In addition, the NEXT Generation NCLEX (NGN) is moving to a new, scoring model, which will utilize a 0/1, +/-, and rationale scoring method. There will be a minimum of 80 questions and a maximum of 145 questions that nurses may attempt in this exam.
