To celebrate the one year anniversary of the channel, July 1st, I remade my first video, 'Discussing Prey's Metanarrative'. I had zero experience editing, recording audio, or writing these sorts of essays, so needless to say I've improved a lot!

Prey's ending reveals a subtextual story that lines up perfectly with the real world motivation behind many aspects of the games design. This is a classic example of a metanarrative, and it elevates one of the best games I've ever played just a little bit higher, giving it the artsy edge that so many great games still fail to pull off so subtly.
