Sellenger's Round

Описание к видео Sellenger's Round

Sellenger's Round is an English Country Dance first published in Playford's Dancing Master of 1657 and interpreted by Cecil Sharp in 1916. Found in "The Playford Ball". It is a round dance for "as many as will" with no progression. It is a USA dance (in essence. It's got 5 parts but the USA parts are in there).

The animation plays at 116 counts per minute, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color.
