La Zandunga is just one dance, a small part of la Danza de la Pluma, which has over 40 parts. These two girls are from Teotitlan del Valle in Oaxaca and represent Malinche and Doña Marina, both aspects of the same person. Their names are Alani Ruiz Ruiz and Juana Lizbeth Contreras Vincente and they will be a part of the dance group for three years, 2013-15.
