Which console do you play on?
We primarily play on the PlayStation 3 console.

How do I play online?
Online play is available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription to access online multiplayer, while the PlayStation 3 offers free online multiplayer. Note: Online play is not cross-platform, so players on different consoles cannot race against each other.

Are the online leaderboards still available?
Yes, the online leaderboards are still functional on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, but they are not cross-platform. Note: The Steam/PC version does not have online leaderboards.

Can I play online on PC?
No, the PC (Steam) version has never had online functionality, so online play is not available. Additionally, the Steam/PC version does not have access to the Metal Sonic DLC in any way.

Can I play online on the Wii version?
Yes, but since Nintendo has shut down its official online services, you’ll need to use Wiimmfi. Wiimmfi is a fan-made service that replaces Nintendo’s servers, allowing Wii users to continue playing online. It requires some setup, but it works with many of the original online-enabled Wii games. Wiimmfi can also be accessed through the Dolphin emulator, enabling online play for the Wii version on PC.

How do I play as Metal Sonic?
Metal Sonic is available as part of paid DLC, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
