Police Arrest Suspect for Assault at Third Street Promenade

Santa Monica Police Officers arrested a man on suspicion of assault at the Third Street Promenade on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Earlier in the day, a report of battery was filed near the Third Street Promenade. Downtown Santa Monica Security Officers identified a man matching the suspect's description and alerted the police.

The police arrived promptly and located the suspect near the farmers market, detaining him for further investigation. The victim was transported to the scene by police to identify the suspect. Following a positive identification, the police arrested the man and transported him to jail for booking.
