وہ مظلوم مدینہ ہیں جنہیں عثمان کہتے ہیں
حیاوالا غنی اور ناشر قرآن کہتے ہیں

خریدا بیررومہ کو پھر اس کو وقف کر ڈالا
کیا تھا پیارے آقا نے فقط اعلان کہتے ہیں

وہ غلے سے لدے اونٹوں کو رب کی راہ میں لٹوانا
اسے ایثار کہتے ہیں اسے احسان کہتے ہیں

زمیں بھی مسجد نبوی کی خاطر آپ نے دی تھی
نہیں ان سا زمانے میں سخی انسان کہتے ہیں

نہیں کوئی سسر مجھ سا نہ ہے داماد عثماں سا
نبی ان کے ہی بارے میں تو یہ فرمان کہتے ہیں

خلافت بھی تھی طاقت بھی نہیں کی پھر بھی خونریزی
مدینة النبی پر خود ہوئے قربان کہتے ہیں

رہے چالیس دن بھوکے و پیاسے بند کمرے میں
حسین ابن علی کو بھی ملا فیضان کہتے ہیں

نبی کے پیارے ہاتھوں میں صحابہ کے جو ہاتھ آئے
خدا کا ہاتھ ہے سب پر یہ خود رحمان کہتے ہیں

ذرا سوچو تو عابد قیمتی کتنی وہ ہوگی جاں
ہوئی تھی جس کی خاطر بیعت رضوان کہتے ہیں
