💜Sea lions are learning how to play video games! You might not see them online while you’re playing just yet, but they are having fun with their maze games. The Navy sea lions have access to the games through the US Navy Marine Mammal Program as part of their enrichment. The sea lions are trained to attach recovery lines to Navy equipment at the ocean floor that is too difficult for humans to get to. They’re free to leave the program if they’d like to, but most choose to stay. The video games might be one reason why! 📸 US Navy


💜She knew exactly who to ask for help. 🦭This injured sea lion in Laguna Beach, California swam straight to a boat and climbed aboard using the ladder. 🥺After realizing how badly she needed help, they called Harbor Patrol who took her straight to the @Pacific Marine Mammal Center. 🚤
After 3 months of rehabilitation, Amber made a full recovery and has been released back into the ocean with her new sea lion friends! 💙
