Don Bosco Boy' Town, Nairobi

“Don Bosco Boys’ Town, Empowering the poor youth,” is a documentary made for the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Boys Town in 2009. Boys’ Town has helped hundreds of needy young people stand on their feet, given them dignity and enabling them to be Good Christians and Honest Citizens. It was a project dreamt by Fr. McFerrin, supported by Br. Cherian and Fr. Thomas Punchkunnel and executed by Fr. Tony D’Souza and his team. Made with original interviews by the surviving founders of the project at the time of making it, this documentary tells the story of its historical development and the challenges of realizing the dream of Don Bosco by the early Salesians.
