COOLANEY MTB CENTRE NEW TRAILS! WORTH THE VISIT!

I recently took a trip to Sligo to check out the new mountain bike trails at Coolaney Mountain Bike Centre. I had heard there were fresh trails worth visiting. The few trails I had ridden here before were more suited to trail centre enthusiasts, while I prefer downhill, enduro, and freeride riding. However, I was really surprised and absolutely stoked by the new trails developed by the team at Atlantic Single Track. They are fantastic! Completely different from what was here before, they are a great addition to Sligo's MTB scene.

Coolaney is a council project that brought in local riders to build the trails, including two mountain bikers from the Northwest MTB club. These guys truly know what they're doing and have found their stride in trail building. Initially, the trails needed to meet safety and council-friendly criteria, but now, with more creative freedom, they’ve built these sick trails that are so welcomed in Sligo on that epic bit of hill in Coolaeny . Big ups to Atlantic Single Track for this incredible work – I can't wait to see what they build next.

All the runs in this video were blind for me, so my riding could have been better, but I wanted to document the new trails in the sunshine. I hope this video inspires you to bring your MTB to Sligo and experience these quality mountain bike trails!
