Read Another Language Fluently TODAY | How to use translations to master Latin, Greek, Coptic, etc.

In this video I show you a notion I've been playing with: use an English (or other teaching language) translation of a text you want to read you target language to train yourself to be a fluent reader in that language. You don't need to know much vocabulary or grammar in your target language, just enough to be able to sound it out. This is how people throughout history have mastered languages, even with minimal explicit grammar instruction and without dictionaries.

In this video, I teach myself to read full paragraphs in Coptic for the first time, acquiring new vocabulary and grammar as I go. It's the equivalent of watching Anime with English subtitles (or the close that one might get). Try it yourself! Let me know if it works for you.
