Dilley Assistant Principal Investigated

By: Robert PriceA high school assistant principal in Frio County is under investigation for an alleged inappropriate letter sent to a student.The Dilley Independent School District confirms it has placed Cescilio Chavez on administrative leave.Monday night a parent spoke about the allegations at the local school board meeting.She says Chavez sent her son a letter saying he was lonely and asking what the boy does after school.My question is, has it happened before, asked Elena Lozano. Are there other students? Were they scared to come forward? Luckily, my son was able to talk to us, and we got the ball rolling.Just last Friday Chavez was transferred to a new post as assistant principal of the local elementary school.The district says he will remain on leave as the investigation continues.
