Psalm 121 (NKJV): The LORD, My Help

Psalm 121 is from a special group of psalms from Psalms 120 to 134, called the Songs of Ascent. Also called Pilgrim songs as they were sung by pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem to attend various festivals.

Psalm 121 reminds us that we only need to look to God in times of trouble, while reassuring us that we can have peace and calm because our “help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth”.

The God who created the universe helps and watches over us—even while we sleep—because He Himself never sleeps, never slumbers. He watches over us day and night, “both now and for always”.
