Milford House Co. Armagh is the wonder of its age. The seat of the McCrum family proprietors of the celebrated linen manufacturing firm of McCrum, Watson & Mercer. The creation of Robert G. McCrum a man ahead of his time and agenius with hydraulics. Famous as the first house in Ireland to have hydroelectricity with twelve bedrooms, six bathrooms and even a proper waterfall in the Dining Room! Today world famous as home of William McCrum who invented penalty kick rule. From 1936 to 1965 it was home to Manor House School Northern Ireland's only country house school for girls.
