Most people understand the value real estate agents bring to the table, and they would never buy a home without a real estate agent, as this is perhaps the most expensive purchase of their life. But when we compare this with the expensive purchase for their company, an ERP system, they struggle to understand the value independent ERP consultants bring to the table. While the ERP space is not regulated, they serve a very similar function as the real estate ERP agents.

When you buy a home without a real estate agent, you might spend months and months of effort, trip after trip, without making progress. Because you might not have a structured framework that you can follow. Real estate agents, on the other hand, can eliminate the need for all of this by going through a simple questionnaire and covering questions such as if you have mortgage approval or how much you can really afford for a house.

While real estate agents might refer to other expertise when a need is going to be outside of their comfort zones, such as construction or legal matters, the independent consultants cover what a real estate agent does but also the responsibilities of a lawyer in helping with the negotiation and the architect in helping design the solution. But the companies still struggle with why they need to hire an independent ERP consultant for their projects.
