There is a long story to tell behind this elevator. Back in 2012, this premises opened as a Pull & Bear, which performed quite well and was located right in the city center. However, in 2019, with the grand opening of the Zara on San Ignacio Avenue, this Pull & Bear closed as part of a major plan Inditex implemented in Pamplona.
This plan involved leaving the Itaroa shopping center entirely—closing all Inditex stores there—while reinforcing their presence in La Morea and redistributing their shops in the city center. The old Zara on Carlos III Avenue was transformed into a Stradivarius, while Zara moved to an iconic building where they opened a much larger four-story store (floors 0, 1, 2, and 3). Bershka remained as it was, having already undergone a major renovation in 2015, but Pull & Bear definitively left the center in 2019 (followed by Massimo Dutti two years later).
The shop didn't stay empty for long in 2019, as an outlet-style clothing chain called Urban Sons moved in. However, in 2021, that company was acquired by Denim & Friends, who decided to prioritize their Itaroa location, leading to the complete closure of this store. In 2021, the premises remained vacant for a long time with the elevator out of service, until 2024, when Casa del Libro opened. It is a large, two-story bookstore that is doing quite well. Consequently, this elevator remained disabled for 3 years.
In fact, you can see it on the ITC (Technical Inspection) sticker: when the shop belonged to Inditex, the inspections were conducted by Bureau Veritas, whereas now they are handled by SGS.

Detrás de este ascensor hay una larga historia que contar.
Este local antes en 2012 abrió como un Pull and Bear, que funcionaba bastante bien y estaba en pleno centro, Pero en 2019 con la gran apertura del Zara de la avenida San Ignacio este Pull And Bear cerró ya que Inditex había hecho un plan en Pamplona bastante grande. El cual fue marcharse del centro comercial Itaroa por completo, cerrado en el centro comercial Itaroa todas las tiendas de Inditex, reforzar las tiendas del centro comercial La Morea, y redistribuir por el centro, El Zara antes estaba en plena avenida Carlos III que ese local se transformó en un Stradivarius, el Zara se trasladó a un icónico edificio donde abrieron una tienda bastante más grande de 4 plantas, 0,1,2,3, Bershka se mantuvo tal cual estaba porque ya hizo una gran reforma y un nuevo local en 2015, y Pull And Bear definitivamente se fue del centro ese 2019 (2 años más tarde lo hizo Massimo Dutti) . En 2019 el mismo año en cerrar poco duró el local vacío ya que se instaló una cadena de ropa así tipo outlet llamada Urban Sons, cuya compañía en 2021 fue adquirida por Denim & Friends que decidió darle más importancia a su tienda del centro comercial Itaroa y esta fue completamente cerrada. En 2021 este local quedó vacío por bastante tiempo con el ascensor fuera de servicio, hasta que en 2024 abrió Casa del Libro que es una tienda que está funcionando bastante bien, es una librería grande y que además tiene dos plantas. Desde entonces este ascensor ha estado inhabilitado 3 años.
De hecho se puede ver en la pegatina de la ITC de cuando este local era Inditex la inspección la pasaba Bureau Veritas y ahora SGS.
