This trailer introduces ›young_professionals‹, the practice-based mentoring programme for international composers by Ensemble Modern and the International Ensemble Modern Academy.

Through excerpts from the try-out sessions, the film offers a glimpse into the collaborative working process between young composers and the musicians of Ensemble Modern.

The four selected composers of the 2025/26 edition are:
Hed Bahack, Caio de Azevedo, Eungjin Lee and Yixie Shen.

The composers are accompanied throughout the programme by composer Michael Jarrell and conductor Toby Thatcher.
