A recreation of the 1994 installation in the Petersburgh Veterans Hall, where five stations were set up throughout the darkened hall with each one focusing on one Petersburgh historical figure. This video contains the original program, all of the interview content and some of the original music by Barton McLean, along with new photos from Petersburgh's past. McLean's complete musical score, which draws heavily on tunes sung and played in the early 1900s in Petersburgh, is also available from this playlist by selecting the next Forgotten Shadows work (which has no notes because it was uploaded by the record company).

With historian Hilda Allen as advisor, McLean weaves a tapestry of original music intertwined with tunes played and sung during the 1910-1935 time period. Included are such oddities as musical saw, honky-tonk piano, 4th of July celebration band, country fiddler, children playing, and large chorus, all reaching to a huge climax followed by a dark and ominous counterpoint based on the tune "Goodnight Ladies," chosen with the original photo of 7 ladies all dressed up in 1910 ready to go somewhere (see previous "Forgotten Shadows" video), all now forgotten.
