To be fair they seem to ship these as a default with anything bulky including workshop tents and trampolines but it can only be a cost saving reason because its got nothing to do with how good they are... because they're not. Spiral ground anchors are by far your better choice. Sure you might have to pay a little more on top of your original purchase but trust me they'll save you a headache and they won't come loose!
