Weekend Wankshop 174! Today i'm going to show you all the REAL way that Brent and Bill from Mastodon play that sick main intro riff to Divinations from their incredible Crack the Skye record! This is one of the best albums in their catalogue, and this is one of the Hahahahaha sickest guitar (and banjo) riffs in their entire catalogue.

There haven't been any 100% accurate tabs or lessons for this out there that i've found, and you all have been asking for this lesson for a while! Ask and ye shall receive!

Tune the guitar down 1 whole step ( D G C F A D), like most mastodon songs. i use 10-46 daddario strings on my ibanez rg520QS here. Dimarzio EVO and Gravity Storm pickups, Kemper Profiler, Top Jimi OR30 profile. Lovely tone!
