After Nick calms Taylor down, she demands that Nick get rid of the box of Brooke memorabilia. As he takes the box away, a CD containing the song that Nick had written to Brooke falls out, unbeknownst to him. Taylor intercepts a text message from Brooke to Nick. After failing to convince Brooke to consider reuniting with Nick, Rick decides to talk to Nick directly. Taylor later confronts Brooke about the text message that she sent to Nick and asks Brooke to stop interfering. Brooke assures Taylor that she has no intentions towards Nick, but admits that she does feel connected to Jack and the need to protect him. Taylor admits to Brooke that she’s afraid that Nick loves Brooke more than Taylor but that she will fight for Jack and Nick. Taylor will not let Brooke take Nick and her baby away from her.
