FDNY Ladder 24 and Engine 1 go on a run

We are at the quarters of FDNY Ladder 24 and Engine 1 on 31st Street off of 7th Avenue, where we see the two units as they respond to a call of a gas leak somewhere in the vicinity (location not given at the time of the call). 24 and 1 have some of the newest rigs in the city, with the new Ladder 24 being the most recent addition. The new order of ladders by the department has been made with Ferrara. Ladder 24 is a 2011 Ferrara rear mount with a 100 foot stick, while Engine 1 is a 2010 Seagrave.
