Boga Wreck in Kubu Indonesien / Bali /Tulamben English description below

Am 17. September 2012 wurde das BOGA-Wrack in Kubu versenkt, ein von der indonesischen Regierung eingesetztes Patrouillenschiff der Küstenwache, ein Projekt der Regierung. Helfer bereiteten das Schiff in einer vier Monate dauernden Arbeit vor, um es für Taucher zugänglich zu machen. Im Zuge dieser Arbeiten sind alle Fenster sowie Türen entfernt worden und das Schiff wurde von allen giftigen Rückständen befreit.
Wegen der meist starken Strömung ist dieser Tauchplatz eher etwas für erfahrene Taucher und nicht für Anfänger gedacht. Es ist mittlerweile leicht mit Korallen bewachsen.
Gebaut 1953 in den Niederlanden, es ist 53 Meter lang und 193 Tonnen schwer. Es steht aufrecht auf einem sandigen Hang in einer Tiefe ab ca. 14 m, die Schiffsschraube bei ca. 34 m markiert den tiefsten Punkt des Wracks. Es ist noch völlig intakt und bietet 3 Decks in welche du auch reintauchen kannst.
Das Wrack ist leicht zu betauchen. Ein VW-Kübelwagen, Motorräder und andere Gegenstände wurden im Inneren platziert, um die Attraktivität des Wracks zu erhöhen. Auf dem Oberdeck ist die alte Toilette noch gut erkennbar und es wurde ein Holzsteuerrad montiert. Fledermausfische und Barrakudas schwimmen oft in der Gegend um das Wrack herum. Auf dem Meeresboden rund um das Wrack können Sie interessante Makro-Lebensformen entdecken.

On September 17, 2012, the BOGA wreck was sunk in Kubu, a Coast Guard patrol vessel deployed by the Indonesian government, a government project. Helpers prepared the ship in a four-month effort to make it accessible to divers. In the course of this work, all windows as well as doors have been removed and the ship has been cleared of all toxic residues. Because of the usually strong current, this dive site is rather something for experienced divers and not for beginners. It is now lightly overgrown with corals.
Built in 1953 in the Netherlands, it is 53 meters long and weighs 193 tons. It stands upright on a sandy slope at a depth from about 14 meters, the propeller at about 34 meters marks the deepest point of the wreck. It is still fully intact and offers 3 decks into which you can also dive.
The wreck is easy to dive. A VW bucket truck, motorcycles and other items have been placed inside to make the wreck more attractive. On the upper deck, the old toilet is still clearly visible and a wooden steering wheel has been installed. Batfish and barracuda often swim in the area around the wreck. On the seabed around the wreck you can discover interesting macro life forms.
